Temperatures are freezing this week, the snow is falling, yes everyone, it is winter in New England. Pull on the thermals and lace up the snow boots, pack on the layers, wrap yourself up tight, and head on out. Wintertime in New England is a beautiful thing to experience. In rural areas the cross-country skiing and snowshoeing opportunities seem to take you into a wintery wonderland far from everyday routines and expectations. When you venture back inside from the cold the fun times continue peeling off some of those layers to dry by a fire with family and friends, sip some cocoa (there are a few recipes on the Internet featuring maple syrup as a primary ingredient!!), and laugh about that morning or afternoon.
